At this time, Stübben does not offer vegan or synthetic leather for the main structural components of our saddles.
We choose to work with high-quality, responsibly sourced real leather because it offers unmatched durability, comfort, and longevity, which are essential for both horse welfare and rider performance. When properly cared for, a leather saddle can last for decades, making it a more sustainable long-term choice than most synthetic alternatives that wear out faster and are more difficult to repair.
It is also important to note that our leather is a by-product of the meat industry, therefore no animal is slaughtered solely for its hide. If not used, this natural material would end up as waste.
That said, we are continuously exploring innovative materials and responsible sourcing across our product range, particularly in saddle pads, girth covers, and accessories, to meet the evolving needs of our riders.
