How should the Airflow brushing boots fit on the horse's leg?

The Velcro fasteners of the Airflow brushing boots are on the outside and face backwards when closed. The boots are designed to overlap slightly when folded over. Close the Velcro fasteners with a good amount of pull, but without consciously using a lot of force. They should not move or slip, but must not cut into the skin or cause bruising.
